Hey Everyone,
Spring quarter has been going by fast, and I have been pretty busy with school, and all the work that goes along with it. As far as my personal life, or lack there of, there’s not too much going on, other than I’m attempting to train myself for a marathon. When that would be I don’t know, it just sounds good, and I love running, so far I’ve been running 1-3 miles a day whenever I have the time.
Other than that, most of my time is consumed with the Farm and school work,….especially CS&E 200. My professor for this class is Nicoleta Roman. The class itself is very time consuming and hard, unless you’re some kind of computer expert and love using excel, and all of that stuff. But other than all of the labs, homework, and exercises it’s not so bad. Dr. Roman does a great job at teaching the material, and working with us in class on different exercises to make sure we get it.
Next is my Math 131 class, the very first day my professor, Dr. Abdalkhani, started the class with a joke. And ever since then, I don’t think he there has been a class where he hasn’t made us laugh at one thing or another. Lol. He is very down to earth and a lot of fun. He constantly tells us that there is a grounded website for OSU Lima students and that if we don’t do our “homefun”, (homework) or do well in class we will be grounded for the weekend. The class has also started to collect quarters in order to raise money for a pizza party at the end of the quarter. We collect money for things such as, being late to class, missing class, not catching a mistake on the board (in which the entire class hands in a quarter to our secretary), and if Dr. Abdalkhani, makes a mistake and we catch it he has to pay a quarter. So far as of week 6, we have over $20 raised for our Pizza Party. :)
The class itself is a bit of a struggle if you’re not a math wiz. Me=NOT. Math has never been a strong subject, but I manage to get through it. I think I’ve been hit with the stupid stick this quarter though, the math just isn’t clicking, and as much as a try it just wont stick.
Another class I’m taking is Psychology 100 with Dr. Carroll. The fun thing about this class is that I’m taking it with my older sister. I always thought it would be cool when I was younger to be in the same school as my sister, and now taking a class together is quite funny. The class is typically a power point presentation, and you read the book at home.
Lastly is Web 101 with Professor Irina Boyadzhiev….Dr. Boyadzhiev was my math professor for the past two quarters, and when she said she would be teaching a web class I thought it might be interesting, and perhaps benefiting. When listing skills on a resume in today’s world, having the skills of working with web pages could be your selling price. The class itself has been interesting working with web pages, and seeing what’s behind the page, and how it works. It defiantly opens your eyes at how crucial technology is.
Well that’s about all for now, hopefully ill blog next week if I remember.
Oh and YEY for Grays’ Anatomy being back on :)!!
