Week 3...and still going...

Hey there,

So, I’m Happy to say that I made it to the end of the 10k classic.... It took me 60 minutes, and 28 seconds to run 6.2 miles.. I’m pretty proud of myself. :) The hardest part was the last mile running through town, they make the course go all through town turning onto different streets, never knowing where the end was….and all the people on the sidewalks clapping…although I liked people cheering me on, it also annoyed me…. It was distracting.. but overall it was a good run, and I was very surprised at how well I did. The only down fall was on Monday, My muscles were soo tight, I should of stretched out more.
Week 3 is just starting, Today the Student Senate held our "Meet the candidates" ............Presidential Representatives were there along with Thomas Mathew, Keithe Faber, Sam Crish and Steve Hoverman. Most of the representatives were Allen County, so it didn’t help me much, but I noticed several students taking their opportunity to meet with the candidates. Star 92.1 a local radio station was also there broadcasting live and taking interviews with Student Senate members.
Overall I think it was a great turn out, thanks to free food advertisement! Students hear the word free, and they’ll show up to just about anything :)
Now.. as far as school goes.. Classes are moving along, I have a Test on Wed, shouldn’t be to hard, Thursday I have a math quiz and a Psych paper due.. .. so I should probably get started on that.
As my mom would say… “Happy Harvest”…

Week 2 of classes....

So it’s the End of Week 2 Fall Quarter, and I’m starting to get a real feel for how this quarter will go. Monday and Wednesdays I just have one class, but after that I work until about 5 on The Communicator.
Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m on Campus from 11 until 7:30, working, and going to class, doing homework and somehow finding time to go to different club activities… so far I don’t feel too overwhelmed I’m just going to have to buckle down with my math like I did spring quarter and really work on the problems to make sure I understand what’s going on…. Ugh.. the life of a college student..
This Weekend is The Minster Oktoberfest, if I’m lucky I’ll be able to make it over for some of the festivities, otherwise I’ll be stuck at home working on papers, and doing homework. Sunday of Oktoberfest is the 10K classic, which is 6.2 miles… Let’s hope I can make it to the end. I think the farthest I’ve run is about 4 miles, so this might be a challenge. I ran cross country in high school, and also did sprints in track; I haven’t been running during the week since school started..so let’s just hope that doesn’t mean anything. My goal is to be under 1 hour and 10 minutes..
That’s all for now, I need to get back to homework.
