Hey fellow bloggers, and OSU students..
(I have to admit I kind of forgot about this whole blogging thing… woops.. lol) anyway…..
I hope everyone’s summer went well,
As for me....summer went by quite slow this year. For the past couple of years at least while I was in High school I always had some kind of summer trip...Chile, Argentina, and Germany just to name a few…(..And These trips were not family ones might I add.. they were High School Club trips, and Student Exchange Programs)..I wanted to keep my tradition going but I found myself in a different situation this time....
Summer Classes!!!!!. Ugh... It was definitely a good idea and I’m glad I got some classes out of the way; however I don’t think there will be another summer of me reading a book because I have to. My summer classes consisted of Accounting 211 and Classics 222.. they weren’t bad, it’s just Its SUMMER.. and I’d rather be swimming or riding roller coasters at Cedar Point than sitting in class from 1-3 every day…by the way I never made it to Cedar Point this year..
I did have occasional weekends of fun though, Let’s see..…..in the beginning there were several Graduation Parties.. And of course those are always fun :).. My cousin got married...I went to The Maria Stein Country Fest for the first time..In which I ran the 5k (it was o
n my birthday)... I also made my yearly attendance to Country Concert :)-always the highlight of my summer. If you know nothing of Country Concert go to.. http://www.countryconcert.com
Learn about it and GO!! I look forward to it every year. Some of this year’s performers were Kenny Chesney, Blackhawk, Kelli Pickler, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Heidi Newfield, and Josh Turner just to name a few.. . After Country Concert I did a couple more 5ks in our area... stayed all week at the Auglaize Co. Fair (my sister still shows..so I stayed to help her take care of the cows, and steers).. and once summer classes were done I basically helped out on the farm, worked all of the Orientations and laid out by the pool whenever I had a chance. I’d say that sums up my summer pretty well..
Well the first two days of autumn classes have gone by and so far the homework hasn’t hit me hard yet. The only problem that I’ve incurred was a room scheduling problem, which also meant that my class got out early. Two classes scheduled in the same room just don’t work; especially when one is Communications and the other Social Psychology.
Some news…..I’ll be working on the Communicator which is OSU Lima and Rhodes State “news paper”. So far so good.. I’d have to say the best part about it is having an office to go to and relax, and work on homework whenever id like instead of trying to find a quite place on campus to do so.
One more class and I’m done for the day! Yey.. and not to mention Greys Anatomy is back on tonight.. Season Premier. Woot woot. Tomorrow I have to work.. and then I’m off to Columbus for the weekend GO BUCKEYES!!!!
Take care everyone … let’s hope I remember to blog next week, and not 3 months down the road..
